2016

THE VERY BEGINNING

Sebastiaan Wachtberger began learning to trade, building the market understanding, discipline, and early trading foundation that would later shape the Groep’s market making activities.

2019

FOUNDED

Wachtberger Groep was established in Barendrecht with an initial focus on market making and proprietary trading. The Groep was founded on algorithmic discipline, operational autonomy, and a long-term view on building enduring businesses.

2020

E-COMMERCE

WM Handel was launched as the Groep’s multi-channel e-commerce platform, focused on scalable commerce operations, product distribution, and digital execution across consumer markets.

2022

DIGITAL GROWTH

WRZ Service was initiated to strengthen the Groep’s digital growth capabilities through performance marketing, strategic visibility, and customer acquisition infrastructure.

2025

TRADING ENTITY

Wachtberger Trading was formally incorporated as the Groep’s dedicated trading arm, creating a more specialized platform for market making, proprietary trading and other financial market activity.

REAL ESTATE

Core Plus Capital was established to expand the Group into real estate finance, adding a long-term, asset-oriented dimension to the broader portfolio.
